Firefox Just Got Dunked Over!

Thu, Dec 11, 2008

Urban myth or not, there is an amazing tale about the great Michael Jordan. The first time he ever did the move where he dribbled the ball between the defender’s legs and went around him to get the ball again and dunk it, on the way back down the court he whispered to the guy’s ear, “welcome to the big league rookie”. So gangsta!!

Anyways, you’re asking, what the hell does this has to do with Firefox. Well nothing, and everything (I can see your temperature rising). Hit more to chill the fuck out and see why Firefox might have its days numbered. (more…)

America; I’m Talking to You!

Thu, Dec 11, 2008

Listen up people. We are in a recession. I know some of you know, but I don’t know you if you really realize what the fuck that means or how serious that is. It’s like my generation when we are at war. We are like; hey we are at war in this country. Crazy, huh?! Do you have any idea how the state of the country and people were when our parents or their parents were around and America was at war. Everybody was aware and concerned and would listen to their radio shows every night for more information. People signed up in numbers to join the army to go fight. Everyone. Now yes we pursue information and sure we have news at 11, and Google will post the top Political stories on our tricked out Google page, or maybe will see someone update their Facebook status with some political insight. But is that enough? Is that really self driven? (more…)

Breakfast in New York

Thu, Nov 20, 2008

This was my second day in New York on my most recent trip. I was exhausted, jet-lagged but on fire from the night before in Times Square (the Election!). Anyways I went Ricky Kim-style on some delicious eats from Dean and Deluca in Rockefeller Center. For some reason this shot just reminds me of how much I loved being in The City.

Pictures Make Me Smile

I love this picture, it features Nicholas Malleville and Francesca Bonata in Mexico. You can tell Todd asked them to kiss and when you are asked to kiss it’s never natural. So the subjects broke into laughter just as their lips met. Amazing.

Dogs Don’t Like Costumes …

… but that doesn’t stop us from forcing our four-legged friends into them. Case in point, my wife’s attempt to dress our pug, Jasmine, up as a pumpkin. Does this animal look happy to you? Trick or treat, pug?

Haven’t you guys seen the new bad-ass LRG hoody for Halloween? Damn, my pug’s been up on that shit for a minute.

Yes, I’m a 26-year-old man who carved my first pumpkin ever last night. He’s the pretty one on the far left. Don’t be jealous.

Have fun, cause mischief!

Pictures Make Me Smile

Quite a bit of bullshit going on in my life, in your life too I’m sure. 6 days until the big election and everyone is stressed. But then I meandered over to my favorite photoblog TheSelby.com and was treated to some amazing photos from his shoot at the residence of Celestine Cooley and Harry Malt. He captured the subjects in their kitchen in one of the most amazing photos I’ve seen. It captures so much: young love, raw emotion, sexual longing … The photo is brilliant. I wanted to share it with all of you so you can enjoy it as much as I did.

MTV Killed the MTV Star

Wed, Oct 29, 2008

It’s official. It’s confirmed. It has been done. MTV the channel for what anyone over 20 remembers is dead, and this past week MTV nailed the final nail in the you know what. I present to you MTVmusic.com

Every video from the vaults of MTV (as well as VH1) has been converted, compressed, uploaded and tagged and put into a clean and simple website that allows you to watch every video with no delay, commercials or price tag. Amazing!! I’m glad to see them finally admiting that they don’t play videos anymore (besides the crap they push on kids and even then they play 3 frames of the video). But also, I’m glad they have in a way admitted that they probably won’t be playing the amount of music videos, like they did in the past, ever again.

I’ll tell you after the jump why this is a smart move, and even in some ways, brings them back street cred. Or at least in my mind. (more…)

‘Member when Republicans were good speakers, the economy was their top priority and they left religion in the Church where it belongs? Well, if you don’t I’ll let President Ronald “The Great Communicator” Reagan remind you what you should be considering next Tuesday when you go into vote. And you WILL vote!
